About Us Get the Picture? is a ministry that charts the Bible visually so that a child can understand it, yet is so profound that seminary students and pastors find it useful. It can be presented in a large group setting and used in a classroom or one-on-one. Getting started in a classroom in Kenya. How it began Over thirty years ago, as a new believer in Jesus Christ, Vicky Semerau had a deep desire to know God so she began reading the Bible.  She became aware that the Bible had one main message and could see how the individual stories fit together to convey that message. Answer to prayer She prayed and asked the Lord to give her a picture of the Bible that could be used for her 6th grade class.  One day while preparing dinner, this idea came to her.  While dinner finished simmering on the stove, the idea was simmering in her mind.  She sketched the beginning of this chart.  While sketching, verses from the Bible were brought to mind to support the lines and ideas.    She taught that first version for her 6th grade class and then over the years, spent time with it in her personal Bible study and also used it to teach Sunday school classes and Women's Bible studies.  It was during those years that the Lord fine-tuned it and brought it to where it is today.   This chart is a direct answer to prayer.  It is God’s picture.  It shows clearly His plan of redemption.
