Frequently Asked Questions
Since the Presentation
Chart will
be used over and over it requires reusable adhesive and some kind of
protection
for the pieces. Here are some questions
pertaining to materials for that purpose.
After I have
cut
out the pieces, is it necessary to laminate them?
No, it is not necessary
however they will last longer if you do. If
the cost or access to lamination is an issue, you
may use clear
Contact Paper™. This can be found at
hardware stores and at most craft and teachers’ supply stores.
Where do I
find
reusable adhesive?
At craft stores you can
find
mounting putty. Some of these tend to
leave oily spots. That is one of the
reasons for protecting the pieces with lamination or Contact Paper™.
Another product that works
well is Tac-On Infostrips™. These are
usually
found in office supply stores however they are not available in all
areas. You can check out their web site at: www.Tac-On.com.
You can even use rolled
tape
to hold the pieces in place.
What about
magnets?
If you have access to a
metal
background, magnets work very well. One
church actually put up metal sheets on one section of wall and painted
over
them the same color as the wall. You can
find all types and sizes of magnets at craft and teacher supply stores. There are even rolls of adhesive magnets
available. Keep in mind the magnetic
poles when using magnets.
